COVID-19 Community LetterAugust 10, 2021

Dear Residents and families,

We are writing to provide you additional updates regarding COVID-19, or Coronavirus, and our continued preventive actions.

This letter is to notify you that a staff member has tested positive for COVID-19 on August 8, 2021. After an extensive investigation including contact tracing, it was determined the staff member acquired the virus outside of the facility and the likelihood of her infecting residents is nominal. All staff members within the community are required to complete a screening process prior to entering the facility and then utilize the appropriate PPE.

We have notified the local health department and have coordinated staff COVID-19 testing to be conducted weekly per the county positivity rate which currently is at 14% and increasing. We tested all staff today, August 10th, and all results were negative. All residents are being closely monitored and as of this notification, no residents show any signs or symptoms.

The safety of our residents and families continues to be our top priority and we are doing all we can to protect those we serve. The aggressive infection control measures implemented continue to be our top priority and we appreciate everyone's support during this difficult time. We ask that all future visits be conducted outside in our visiting area with the exception of compassionate care visits. This will be our facilty procedure while the county positivity rate is above 10%. Once the rate decreases below the aforementioned threshold, indoor visits will resume.

Please note, if a positive test result is produced from the facility-wide testing, phone calls will be made to all resident families, guardians, and powers of attorney.

In the meantime, please feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Paul Foltz – Administrator
